Products & Services Did You Know Xantham Gum Contains Corn?

Xantham Gum is produced by a bacterium that is fed corn to grow. Although some people are reported to be allergic to Xantham Gum itself, others with corn allergy react to it because of its corn content.

Xantham Gum is used in many products as a natural thickener. It is most often found in salad dressings, sauces, frozen foods, commercial egg substitutes, beverages and ice creams, It is also used in Gluten-Free baking to add "stickiness" to the dough.

In non-food applications, it can be found in some costmetics and toothpaste.
