FAAN funded a new study published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology which puts a number on the cost associated with food allergy reactions. It details the economic burden not just to the families but the health care system as well. It's the first study of it's kind. The study looked at emergency room visits, out-patient visits and physician visits.

_It's that time again! Our 4th Annual Food Allergy Awareness Week Go Bananas Event! The owners of the Go Bananas Toy Store in Lansdowne Town Center has again, graciously offered their storefront to hold our annual event. This year, the event will benefit the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) Walk of Northern VA to raise money for research for a cure for food allergies.
