LAN BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Loudoun Allergy Network (LAN) is run entirely by volunteers. LAN's support group leaders work closely together to run the organization successfully. LAN is currently working towards a Virginia Non-profit 501(c)3 status.
Thanita Glancey - Chairperson
Thanita Glancey joined LAN in the Spring of 2009 and by 2010 became Co-Chair, assisting LAN Founder and then Chairperson, Maria Hardy with the daily operations. In the Spring of 2011, she accepted the Chairperson position. Thanita is a member of the LAN School Action Group and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network's (FAAN) Leadership Council and the Support Group Advisory Council. Thanita is a also a member of the Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) and was asked to sit on the SEAC Child Study/Child Find/504 Subcommittee due to her leadership and knowledge in this field.
Thanita is committed to raise food and other anaphylactic allergy awareness in her community. She is dedicated to support and advocate for the safety and full inclusion of children with food and other anaphylactic allergies in LCPS. She attends School Board meetings, Health Safety and Wellness Committee, and Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) meetings. As a member of the LAN School Action Group, she was able to assist Chairperson, Michele Rosa with advocating for the LCPS food allergy management guidelines, "Caring for Students with Food Allergies in School" where she provided research and input. Thanita spends her time studying new food allergy related research and treatment options. Additionally, she researches disability rights law and has attended a WrigthsLaw Conference on Disability Law and Advocacy Training.

Michele Rosa - LAN School Action Group Chairperson
Michele Rosa joined LAN in 2007. To improve food allergy awareness in her child's school, she has provided a multitude of educational materials and information to school staff. In 2009, she established the LAN School Action Group to advocate for consistent food allergy management throughout Loudoun County Public Schools. During the 2009-10 school year, Michele volunteered to serve as the elementary school and LAN parent representative on the LCPS committee which created the food allergy management guidelines "Caring for Students with Food Allergies in Schools". These guidelines have been recognized by FAAN as one of the best in the United States. As the Chair of the School Action Group, she communicates with parents and LCPS staff to work towards a safe and fully inclusive environment for all students with food allergies. She also assists parents, on a individual basis, to ensure understanding of the food allergy management guidelines, complete school paperwork and through the process to develop 504 and Individual Health Care Plans.

Sarah Blake - Secretary
Sarah Blake joined LAN in March of 2011 and by October 2011 became Secretary, assisting LAN Chairperson, Thanita Glancey and LAN School Action Group Chairperson Michele Rosa with a variety of network operations. Sarah is also a member of the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) .
Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at University of Maryland Baltimore County and completed a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Towson University in 2001. Previously she worked as a child and family therapist at an outpatient behavioral health clinic north of Baltimore. Currently Sarah is managing a busy household full time with a very active 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son.
Sarah desires to raise food allergy awareness in the community with a focus on the emotional impact this diagnosis has on the entire family unit. She has enjoyed the connection she has made with other families affected by food allergy and anaphylaxis.

Dr. Srinagesh Paluvoi MD, FAAP, FACAAI
Dr. Paluvoi's practice focuses on patients with allergic conditions such as nasal allergies, asthma, food allergies, eczema, insect sting allergies, acute and chronic hives, chronic sinus problems and immunological disorders.
Dr. Paluvoi graduated from a reputed medical university in India and then trained in pediatric health care in Jamaica and received Diploma in Child Health from University of West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. After emigrating to USA he completed pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric and adult Allergy & Immunology from Howard University Hospital, Washington, DC. Dr. Paluvoi is board certified in pediatrics, Pediatric and Adult Allergy & Immunology. Dr. Paluvoi's special interests include allergic asthma, food allergies and immune deficiencies. Dr. Paluvoi gave guest lectures at local hospitals grand rounds and round table conferences in his specialty. He has written several articles in local health journals regarding allergies.
Dr Paluvoi is a Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He served as a CME Committee member of American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is a member of local allergy societies and also a consultant for Loudoun Allergy Network. Dr. Paluvoi resides in Northern Virginia with his physician spouse and has two children attending college.
